The Mast & Towers Safety Group stipulate that all technicians must be registered on the Energy & Utility Skills Registry System - Quartzweb – to gain access to and work on Arqiva, CTIL, EE, Vodafone, Telefonica, BT, Network Rail & other MATs group member sites.under the accreditation scheme.  Course costs includes EUS registration fee and EUS ID Card.

This course meets the MATS specification and is designed to give delegates who are looking at entering the industry the knowledge & understanding on safe working practices for working on radio towers / structures and conduct the rescue of incapacitated or injured climber(s). 

Delegates must be over 18 and speak English. They must be physically fit / able to work at height and free from any medical condition that could prevent them from climbing. They will be required to complete a medical declaration. 

Certification valid for 1 year. Tower Climber & Rescue Refresher training will need to be carried out every 12 months thereafter. 

With effect from 14/02/22 EUSR will be issuing virtual ID cards.  Following registration of training an SMS message will be sent to you directly where you can download the Vircarda App to your mobile phone.  For more information please visit the EUSR by click on this link.

The Tower Climber & Rescue (Renewal) is a refresher course for those who have completed a climbing course and gained experience in the last 12 months and wishing to revalidate their certificate. Its purpose is to evaluate the knowledge & understanding of individuals on safe working practices for working on radio towers / structures and conduct the rescue of incapacitated or injured climber(s) Tower Climber courses are held at our dedicated centre in Daventry, Northants.

Delegates must be able to speak English and must have obtained their MATS Tower Climb and Rescue Initial Validation (3 day) or MATS Advanced Climber course. They must be physically fit / able to work at height and free from any medical condition that could prevent them from climbing. They will be required to complete a medical declaration.

Arqiva & MATS Approved Training Provider

Important Note: This course will no longer be available from the 01st January 2020.  A change in industry standards require delegates to attend a yearly MATS Tower Climbing & Rescue Refresher Course - See associated courses.

The Tower  / Structural Rescue course is designed for existing climbers who wish to renew their rescue certification. Delegates can renew their Advanced Climber certificate for an additional fee

Delegates are continually assessed on the essential elements of the Rescue course, including updates on legislation and codes of practice, observed mock work situation, use of all PPE and practice of live rescue in descent.  courses are held at our dedicated centre in Daventry, Northants.

Evidence of previous competence / training will be required prior to attending. Delegates must have a valid & in-date climber certificate or equivalent to attend this course.

IATP APPROVED ASBESTOS TRAINING COURSE

Asbestos is probably the most dangerous building material ever used. Every year thousands of people fall ill and die because of exposure to asbestos and it was widely used by the construction industry right up until the year 2000. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has sent a warning that firms exposing workers to asbestos without adequate safety training would be penalised. It added that electrical contracting companies and other building and refurbishment trades must provide suitable asbestos awareness training to employees or face prosecution. Our Asbestos online training course is easy to follow and provides all the health and safety information that you will need to work with asbestos. Our e-learnign course is IATP approved.

This course is designed to give delegates the knowledge and practical experience for planning , preparing and executing lift operations

Designed for personnel who are required to use lifting equipment to haul items up to positions on structures i.e telecom riggers, theatre stage riggers, steel erectors etc. 

Course content is in line with MBNL requirements - please note with effect from 1st February 2020 MBNL now require a two day course.

Arqiva Approved Training Provider

The Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (incorporating at heights) whilst delivered to the regulated standard, will be additionally certified to include subjects related to `at height'. The course is designed to offer essential basic skills and knowledge required to administer emergency first aid at work for those who work at height until someone more qualified is available to take charge of the situation.The Emergency First Aid at Work (incorporating at heights) courses are held at our dedicated centres in Watford, Hertfordshire and Daventry, Northants or onsite at client premises.

Delegates must be fluent in English. The course is delivered and assessed in English only
