IOSH Managing Safely Refresher
The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course is aimed at managers and supervisors who have previously undertaken the full version IOSH Managing Safely course. It is IOSH view that it is best practice for Managing Safely certificate holders to renew their learning within a three year period. The refresher course provides delegates with the latest best practice and legislation changes and ensures that their knowledge and best practice is completely up to date. The core programme is designed to revisit key management responsibilities from the Managing Safely course and provide updates on relevant changes in good practice guidance, legislation and standards. It does not, therefore, revisit all the Managing Safely modules in equal depth.

The course is developed around BS7985 2002, the British Standard for Industrial Rope Access and aims to give the candidate skills in the descent and ascent of ropes in order to reach their work place. Rope Access training courses are held at our dedicated centre in Daventry, Northants.
Rope Access Technician (Experienced)
This course is for those who have specific trade skills but wish to use rope access as a method of gaining access to and work in difficult locations. The term rope access if often used to describe access to location of work using descending and ascending equipment on ropes. Sage Safety and Training has identified that other organisations spend a lot of training time on teaching delegates to ascend ropes. This technique is often not required as the work only requires a descent. This course has been developed to BS 7985:2000 and provides all the required skills for rope access operations on structures of any form. Please note - this course is for experienced climbers only. If you do not hold a current certificate in rope access training then the three day novice course must be undertaken.
