Delegates must be physically fit and without contra-indications for work at height. A self-certified statement of medical fitness will be completed prior to the commencement of training. This course is for experienced climbers only and evidence must be provided before commencement of training.
This course is for those who have specific trade skills but wish to use rope access as a method of gaining access to and work in difficult locations. The term rope access if often used to describe access to location of work using descending and ascending equipment on ropes. Sage Safety and Training has identified that other organisations spend a lot of training time on teaching delegates to ascend ropes. This technique is often not required as the work only requires a descent. This course has been developed to BS 7985:2000 and provides all the required skills for rope access operations on structures of any form. Please note - this course is for experienced climbers only. If you do not hold a current certificate in rope access training then the three day novice course must be undertaken.
